Somewhere In Macedonia –
Somewhere In Macedonia

‘Somewhere’ is a film project based on a series of letters which explores the lives of two gay soldiers during the First World War.

It was inspired by a real series of letters sent home from Thessaloniki in 1917 each one titled ‘Somewhere In Macedonia’ in order to pass censor.

A short version of the film was made in Camden in 2016, produced by Eleanor Pole and featuring Iddon Jones, Julian Firth, Gethin Alderman & Harrison Rose. The soundtrack was kindly provided by members of the London Gay Symphony Orchestra and composed by Stefan Melzak.
