Hiraeth

Hireath is a Welsh word. It is generally thought of as untranslatable. The closest word in English is probably Longing. This film was made in Wales and features the flooding of a Welsh Village to make way for a dam to feed water to cities during the Industrial Revolution. The voice over is a letter sent home from the 1st World War by my Great Uncle. The film is about loss as well as a longing for home.
